The PPEs I would use in my daily visits are gloves and a gown to prevent contamination.
The aging process is associated with physical, psychological, and emotional challenges that make aged adults vulnerable to abuse and social isolation. Aging leads to decreased bone density, which weakens a person (Fraga Dominguez et al., 2022). This makes it challenging for aged people to perform daily activities like cooking, cleaning, and working. Aged adults also have poor eyesight and hearing abilities, making them vulnerable to falls. Hence, they cannot live independently. The aging process increases the vulnerability to abuse because it is associated with cognitive changes, which can lead to memory loss (Green, 2018). Therefore, older adults may not report abuse incidents because they cannot remember. Older adults are also vulnerable to social isolation because they are susceptible to mental issues like depression and social anxiety. These mental problems make it challenging for them to have meaningful social connections with other people.
