| What did you take away from the readings and video? How can you apply this to your experience while at GCU? (50-100 words) | At GCU, the Foundation is encouraging the students to find their purpose and state student’s view by adopting integrating notable Christian world view. When I personally took from the “GCU One Foundation” video is that I felt very welcomed into this campus. Christianity is big part of my life. The GCU faith combined foundation is developing Christian Faith, Christ focus curriculum, and faith-based service. GCU is granting an opportunity to build students their faith and an opportunity of faith to bring into the classroom. I wish I could attain their different ministries, chapels, and life groups. GCU makes me also really liked the survey and how GCU included the student’s perspective about it. |

Such as helping the poor, outreach, being kind to all especially older people, feeding the hungry, or helping the homeless. There are many groups that you can join the GCU provides for students outside of Chapel. For example, life group is something that you can go to and see if you take interest in it. |

(100-150 words) | I was surprised about as an ICU nurse, there are many surprises that can arise due to the high-pressure and unpredictable nature of the work. Some of the most common surprises include the emotional intensity; despite being trained to handle life-and-death situations, ICU nurses are often surprised by the emotional toll the job can take. Witnessing critically ill patients, sudden deterioration, or death regularly can be overwhelming. Also, one of the biggest surprises for new ICU nurses is how quickly a patient’s condition can change. A patient who seems stable can deteriorate rapidly, requiring immediate and often lifesaving interventions. This unpredictability keeps ICU nurses on constant alert, with the need to respond swiftly to any changes. The most important part is which many ICU nurses are surprised by how rewarding the role can be. Being part of a patient’s recovery, making a difference in a critical moment, or providing comfort to a family during a difficult time can bring deep personal satisfaction. |

In order to achieve the goals in your purpose plan, you will need to employ self-management and self-leadership strategies. What self-management and self-leadership strategies do you plan on using, and how will you use them?
Self-Management and Self-Leadership are two main major strategies for achieving my goal which gets a BSN Nursing degree. Studying nursing is a challenging yet rewarding journey that requires dedication, discipline, and effective strategies for success. The complexity of the coursework, the hands-on clinical experiences, and the emotional demands of the profession call for both strong self-management and self-leadership. One of the most critical self-management strategies I plan to implement is effective time management. Nursing school involves a heavy workload, including lectures, clinical practice, exams, and assignments. To manage these demands, I will create a weekly schedule that breaks down my tasks into smaller, manageable goals. By using a planner or digital app, I can set specific times for studying, attending classes, completing assignments, and reviewing materials for exams. This will help me avoid procrastination and ensure that I stay on top of my responsibilities. Another self-leadership strategy I will use is setting the correct goal. For instance, I may set a goal to achieve a certain grade in a challenging course or to master a specific clinical skill by the end of the semester. By setting goals that are realistic and attainable, I can track my progress and stay motivated to achieve my desired outcomes. GCU provides many opportunities and resources to help you accomplish the goals in your purpose plan. What are some GCU opportunities and/or resources you will engage in to help you accomplish your goals?
GCU offer so may resources for students accomplish their goals in your purpose plan. GCU gives me so many opportunities and support that will help me to achieve my goals in my purpose plan. The Careers Resource team assists students to obtain their goals in their profession and this support involves nursing majors and job market options, preparing students for interviewing, leads the student to build professional resumes and cover letters and list job openings. Career Services at the Academic and Career Excellence Center of GCU give students with support, professional expertise, and direction to help students transition from academics to a persistent professional expertise, and direction to help students transition from academics to a persistent profession and a pleasant work favorably. GCU library is proactive in allowing students, with the information they need to be victorious in their analysis efforts. This is achieved by giving library guidance by phone, email, chat etc. Another would be the Student Success Center; this is a major necessity because if I need to find a file or something like that, I just need to go to the website to do research. If I can use all the useful resources and take advantage of it, they will help with successful academic GCU journey.
