Reflecting on the past seven weeks, my five key takeaways I plan to implement in my future courses are: 

Time Management: I will continue to use alarms, post-its, and a daily planner to stay organized and meet deadlines, which will help me remain on top of assignments. 

Building Relationships: I will foster connections with faculty and peers, they can provide academic and emotional support, enriching my learning experience. 

Goal Setting: I will set clear, achievable goals with deadlines. This will help tack my progress and keep me motivated, especially while balancing school and work. 

Using GCU Resources: I will take full advantage of GCU’s resources, like tutoring, writing centers, and online tools, to continue to support my learning and academic success. 

Spiritual and Emotional Growth: I will use spiritual resources and scripture to help manage stress and maintain emotional balance throughout my academic journey, especially during challenging times and putting God first will always be the most important to me.

Things that have worked best for me during this course is being more familiar with navigating the portal and understanding the importance of reading the rubric. In the beginning I had a very hard time accessing the tools needed to complete my school work. It would take me so long to find everything I needed, but now I know exactly where to go. Secondly, reading the rubric. In the beginning I thought I could read through the assignment and complete it as I thought best and receive full credit, two assignments I learned the Importance. I will forever take reading the rubric as my main priority every assignment. Something that I am currently working on is time management. After being apart of the storm I realized we can make plans for our day to day lives but who is to say this will go as expected, but we must be prepared and work hard to complete daily task no matter what.
