The broad types for implementing safety practices on a unit would include localized improvement, organizational learning and evidence-based practice and management. Johnson and Sollecito (2020) reported that localized improvement occurs when an ad hoc team is developed to look at a specific process problem or opportunity, organizational learning occurs when this process is documented and results in the development of policies and procedures, which are then implemented, and evidence-based practice and management involve the selection of best health and management practices.
