Each week, you will complete the activities within the modules using a variety of learning strategies.
Weekly modules are structured in the following way:
- Introduction to the unit concepts covered in that week
- A description of the course outcomes, weekly objectives and related disease topics
- Outline of learning success strategies to use when completing the weekly modules
- Completion of a pre-test prior to engaging in module content. Note that a score obtained below 80% will direct students to a brief review of these concepts to help refresh your knowledge base. Students enrolled in NR-507 are expected to have already achieved mastery in basic knowledge anatomy and physiology at the undergraduate level. Having this basic knowledge will contribute to your success as you explore advanced concepts in NR507 that are necessary in learning how to assess, diagnose and treat patients. Students will take a post-test on the concept following review and study. Please note that scores obtained on the module pre/post assessments are not factored into your course grade.
As you begin your exploration of pathophysiology, take care to utilize the following strategies for success:
- Carefully review the module outcomes and objectives for each week. This is what you will be expected to learn and on which you will be assess.
