Re: Topic 7 DQ 1
Dissemination is a proactive method that focuses on the dissemination of information and intervention materials to a specified public health or clinical practice audience with the goal of spreading knowledge and evidence-based interventions to community members (Chan,Oldenberg & Viswanath, 2015). Dissemination and implementation science’s ultimate goal is to ensure that discoveries in health science become standards of treatment for all populations and health care settings. The Shared Governance group at the clinic where I am doing my project, is the internal way of dissemination that I use. The Shared Governance group consists of multiple staff members who lead change and discuss areas in need of improvement within the clinic. This group is a great resource because they know best what may or may not work within the unit and the patient population they serve. An effective communication strategy would be conducting the meeting for providing the information of the change project and what positive impacts would it cause on the patient’s health.
The external method would be the New Mexico Breastfeeding Taskforce group. The New Mexico Breastfeeding Task Force (NMBTF) promotes breastfeeding and supports mothers, families, and communities (NMBTF, n.d.). It is their mission to educate, support, and promote lactation to all women and families in New Mexico. They would be a great resource because they include evidence-based practice, have respect for all, give consistent messaging, support, include, and stay transparent. It is important to have both methods be part of my change proposal because they both have important pieces and will support the need to educate the public on evidence-based practice regarding breastfeeding.

Sample Answer 2 for NRS 493 Describe one internal and one external method for the dissemination of your evidence-based change proposal
One internal method for the dissemination of my EBP project result would be through an institutional newsletter or any other form of employee outreach. Many institutions have their own internal form of publication for the employees such as newsletters or even pamphlets. That would be an excellent way to spread the word about the research within the institution. In terms of an external institution, any of the peer-reviewed nursing journals, especially reputable ones associated with professional nursing organizations, can be a wonderful way to spread the outcome of the EBP project. It is important to report the results to both these groups because the nurses in the same institution as me would be actively asked to follow the outcomes and recommendations of the EBP project, and nurses in other institutions may also be willing to implement the outcomes of EBP projects like this. EBP is a great way to improve patientcare, and it will only have the desired impact if we are able to conduct and share research outcomes with the entire nursing community (Singh & Shetty, 2017). For the internal group, the message should be direct and focus more on the newer protocols, whereas for the external community, there should be detailed background, rationale for the project, and detailed description of the project steps and outcomes in order to avoid any confusions.

Sample Answer 3 for NRS 493 Describe one internal and one external method for the dissemination of your evidence-based change proposal
Dissemination is a vital aspect of any EBP implementation process. This is because it is only through dissemination that both internal and external stakeholders are well apprised of the change proposal, or evidence based practice and that they can contribute to the development or implementation of the change process. Some of the barriers to proper implementation is poor dissemination that ultimately lead to vital stakeholders being left out of the implementation process and this, ultimately leads to adverse outcomes in the proposal.
One internal dissemination method that I am most likely to use is a dissemination presentation to all internal stakeholders. This presentation will outline the proposed change, the potential outcome, the posts and the role of all the stakeholders involved. I would use this dissemination method because it is engaging and I can best present the proposal. Furthermore, this mode allows me to present the information and answer questions in real time, in addition to giving clarifications and responses that are as comprehensive as possible. This eliminates potential misinterpretation that may arise from impersonal communication (Di Girolamo, 2019) .
The external mode of dissemination that I would use is dissemination through a conference on drug and substance use. These conferences are usually multidisciplinary and in attendance are professional from various organizations. This method of dissemination would ensure that members of various organizations are well apprised of the change process and its expected gains.
In order to guarantee effective change management, it is important to ensure that both of these groups are well informed and educated about the cane proposal This ensures that first, there is adequate knowledge about the change and its implications for patients (Borquez et al., 2020). Furthermore, dissemination gives all the stakeholders opportunities to contribute by giving their opinions on the best way through which the desired change can be achieved, in addition to ensuring that any gaps in the conceptualization are sealed.
The major change will be made in the communication strategy for internal stakeholders This is because since they are the implementers of the proposal, the dissemination has to be extensively engaging. This is because the implementers have to be very well educated on their role and there is no room for ambiguity in the change process (Ludden et al., 2020). It is for this reason that the internal dissemination should be well done.
