It is appropriate for current nurses seeking progress in their profession, especially in leadership. This discussion is an evaluation of the MNS-Leadership Healthcare Systems welcome video.
The “Welcome to MSN-Leasership in Healthcare Systems” video provides clear and concise information on the particulars of the leadership program. It outlines the various courses, requirements, and support for leaders pursuing the program. Despite the video being informative, there are some questions one might ask. For instance, what are the appropriate practicum locations the program provides, and what are leadership internship projects that do not meet the program’s standards? Additionally, does a learner pursue the course outlined in the order explained in the video, or can the learner choose what to study at a particular time?
There are significant expectations for this leadership program. These include attaining nursing leadership skills and competencies. Therefore, pursuing this leadership program will be critical in enabling involvement in health system reforms and initiating change.

Sample Answer 2 for NUR 621 Watch the “Welcome to MSN-Leadership in Healthcare Systems,” video in the Student Success Center
I enjoyed watching the video titled, “Welcome to MSN – Leadership in Healthcare Systems” because it was nice to get an introduction to the program that I have been a part of for a year now (2023). I was unaware that our program lead was Dr. Sarah Schroyer, and I particularly liked how she said that all nurses are leaders in one way or another, but she goes on to elaborate that nurse leaders can be make a significant impact on diverse patient populations from behind the scenes. I particularly love that through an MSN-Leadership, I will have the ability to affect patient populations through business skills, financial management, communication, ethics, human resource management, critical thinking, and quality performance improvement. I do not currently have any leadership experience but I chose this degree to set myself up to open doors for future opportunities. I look forward to leading and inspiring future and current nurses within our field in order to lead patients to their optimal health. The feel that the only question or guidance I would want assistance with is who to choose to shadow for my practicum course for the final class of our degree. I currently work as a case manager for an insurance company, but I have experience working bedside as a progressive care and emergency department nurse.
